1. 根据上句话“The man left with a potted(盆栽的)plant and then moved on to the next house.”可知,这个男人拿着盆栽去了下一家;下句话提到“Clearly, this was quite an outrageous(肆无忌惮的)thief”他是一个小偷。 2. 下文“When he was caught, the police found that he had stolen 7 potted plants altogether.” 故选A。 3. 根据上下文语境“They were taken good care of by him and were really in good situation. He even spent more money maintaining the plants than what they were worth. _____3_____ At times, he moved them in and out of the house every day to make sure the plants had enough sunlight.” 4. 根据下句话“The reason was only one: he loved potted plants very much.”“理由只有一个……” 5. 根据语境“As long as he saw some potted plants didn’t get enough care, he would take them home and give them careful maintenance.”
